TEAM SQUARE

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND! In the world you are not alone. And you are not living in this world for yourself only but to others as well. In your life journey, people came in your way, left and right, in front and at your back, you are surrounded by people.

Team square is an activity which allows us to teach and experience the essence within u. We are instructed to group with my counsels, sit in a circle.  Each group was given a set of square, depending the number of people in a group, cut into different pattern which needs to arrange properly to form a square with equal size. No member will speak. No member is allowed to react or give non verbal communication. No member may ask another member for a cardboard piece or in any way signal that another member is to give him a piece. Members may not place pieces in appropriate places in another’s puzzle. A member may give away all the pieces to his/her puzzle even if he/she has already formed a square. Groups must work until there is a completed square in front of each participant. That’s the activity.

Doing this activity makes us realize so many values in life and relationship. TRUST is one. Learning to trust yourself that you can do it without any communication and trust others that they can. To give and be sensitive to the needs of other member even he or she doesn’t ask for it. Just to feel that you have to trust in giving and even sacrificing what you already have to form a square and to other members to successfully finish the activity. That in real life you can be successful and at the same time others can be successful too that no one is left out in the journey of our lives. That it is possible that all of us can be successful in life that we don’t need to put others down to make ourselves on the top. I am so glad to realize this essence and practice to my life.
