- Belt restraints - it is used to prevent the client from falling out of the bed or chair.
- Vest Restraints - it is like a belt restraint but more secure and likely more support will be given by these kind of restraint.
- Jacket Restraints - it should be fit over the client's head. the neck opening is secured with zipper or Velcro closure. There are secure ties fixed to the waist of the jacket. It may be used in bed or wheelchair.
- Elbow or Knee Restraints - there are canvas or mesh wraparound ties that have lengthwise rigid stays to prevent joint flexion.
- Wrist or Ankle Restraints It is used to restrict motion of limbs for therapeutic reason.
- Mitt Restraints - it is used for client who absent-minded pull at tubes or apliances or who may injure themselves by scratching a rash or picking a wound.
